We are concerned members of the community committed to democracy as not simply one of our political values but our means of restructuring society. Our vision is to shape a society in which people have a real voice in the choices and relationships that affect the entirety of their lives. We call this vision democratic socialism — a vision of a more free, democratic and humane society. Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. We are a political and activist organization, not a party. 

We seek to not only bring about change in politics but to also inform and empower the El Paso community through outreach and engagement. We also strive to help our community in a variety of ways, from charitable food drives, to community gardens to simply volunteering to bridge the relationships between our community and local government.
